“Burlington” offers highly regarded Basalt grazing with significant carrying capacity suitable for breeding and backgrounding. Black soil frontage encompasses both the Saltwater Creek and Lynd River. Large areas of red basalt country running into open granite ridges and steeper granite hills make up the Western and Southern boundaries. Grasses include Black Spear, Bluegrass, Urachloa, Golden Beard, Indian Couch, Panic, forest Mitchell and Kangaroo Grass. Interspersed with numerous summer herbages along with large bodies of Secca and Verano Stylos. Areas of grader grass do exist on Burlington Station however these have been greatly reduced over recent years through grazing management.
