Flinders comprises of open, undulating black soil downs country with clay-based soils supporting a body of Mitchell and Flinders grass. The country is interspersed with mimosa bush and prickly acacia along drainage lines. Prickly acacia offers an additional browse component with up to 18% protein when in seed. Seasonal growth includes a mix of Flinders grass, herbs and forbs, providing valuable grazing during productive periods. Lignum Creek and minor gullies traverse the property, contributing to natural drainage across the open black soil downs.
