Visitors from the South West Slopes, Vic and the Central West were among the buyers at the 35th annual on-property sale for Demondrille Merino and Poll Merino in Harden.

Stud co-principal Patrick Davis told attendees that the sale had come at a welcome time.

"Everyone's had a really hard winter, and the Merino job's a little bit on the nose, just the bull wool, but now it's decided to have a go," he said.

"Anyone who's stayed in this industry, I think we'll see them rewarded in the next couple of years."

Noting the consistent quality of wool of progeny produced by the rams offered for sale, Mr Davis acknowledged the work of his extended family in making the day a success.

"There's a lot of unseen work and time; they're as proud of this as we are," he said.
