A "big powerful" Maine Anjou female claimed supreme exhibit in the breed judging at the 2025 Royal Canberra Show.

Wattle Grove Kimora Madame, exhibited by Wattle Grove Maine Anjou, Raby, was awarded the title by judge Peter Collins, Merridale Angus, Tennyson, Victoria.

The two-year-old senior and grand champion female was sired by Uandi Eliminator 1Y and out of Wattle Grove Black Madame.

Justin Costello, Wattle Grove, said she had a lot of depth, capacity and volume for her age.

Mr Costello said she was in calf by AI to Maine Park Terrific and came from a line of champions with her dam a show champion.

Mr Collins said she was a "big powerful" female with a good topline and good udder development.

"A very worthy champion," he said.

Kimora Madame claimed the supreme exhibit over the grand champion bull Rosewood Kraken Wood, 702 kilograms, exhibited by Rosewood Maine Anjou, Raby.

The 19-month-old bull was sired by Dalwood Lodge Pierre and out of Rosewood Kasey Rose.

Mr Costello had prepared the bull for Rosewood and said he was going to also use as a sire in his own herd, and will be crossing with his Angus cows to breed a new black line.

"His length and depth, that's the biggest thing about him," he said.

The junior champion female was awarded to Bluedrop Lady Flame, exhibited by Bluedrop Maine Anjou, Invergordon, Vic.

The nine-month-old heifer, sired by Maine-Park Monkey-Man and out of Wattle Glenn Maisy 2nd, was described by Mr Collins to be big and upstanding.

"She will grow into a really good cow," he said.
