Canberra Royal 2025: British White breed judging results

A young British White breeder used learnings from a recent trip to the United States to show off her cattle during the 2025 Royal Canberra Show breed judging.
Ravenswood Senorita, exhibited by Ghinni Ghinni British Whites, Kundle Kundle, claimed the supreme exhibited under the eye of judge Peter Collins, Merridale Angus, Tennyson, Victoria.
The three-year-old cow with a calf at foot was sired by Vale Hill Farm Nugget and out of Ravenswood Morna.
Makayla Saunders, 19, recently from the US where she went to the Cattleman's Congress and led British Whites for other breeders.
"I learnt heaps that I put into use this week with the cattle," she said.
"I learnt about fitting because they're just next level over there."
Ms Saunders said she purchased the supreme cow in July 2022 after starting her stud in 2021, showing her ever since Taree show at the end of 2022.
"She has always been really good and helping me to promote the breed," she said.
"She's growthy, she's got a good udder and she calves down without any assistance which is always a bonus.
"She is big but gentle."
Ms Saunders said she currently runs about 20 females ranging from young heifer calves to a 14-year-old cow.
Mr Collins said it was her overall wedgy shape and depth of body that put her ahead of the grand champion bull Ghinni Ghinni Bowie V2, also exhibited by Ms Saunders.
The 13-month-old junior champion bull, sired by Vale Hill Farm Motswari and out of Dingo Sonia 2nd, was described by Mr Collins to be very sound in the feet and legs, had lots of muscle and was good in the sheath.
