Demand remains strong, another six-figure sale on Nutrien Classic's final day

Demand remained strong on the final day of the 2025 Nutrien Classic horse sale at Tamworth, with yet another six-figure sale recorded.
The sale catalogued 616 lots across the four days. Thursday reached a $130,00 top price; Friday sold to $150,000; and Saturday went even higher to reach $180,000.
Sunday's top-priced lot came at the end of the day, with the four-year-old mare, Hazelwood Codesa, selling for $100,000.
Offered by TE and CE Hall, Goondiwindi, Qld, the mare was by Hazelwood Conman and from Hazelwood Matron.
She sold to Murtlegrove Equine.
Just one lot earlier, Alcoyne Grazing Trust, Julia Creek, Qld, paid $90,000 for Eagle Connie, offered by B and P Siejka, Bathurst.
The four-year-old was also by Hazelwood Conman and out of Kirkbys Stud Bonita.
Other notable sales in the four-year-old mares included Lil Flair, who was purchased for $72,500 by Wonyarra Farms Pty Ltd, Devils Creek, WA.
The mare, offered by Boyd Leitch, Springsure, Qld, was by EB S Phalaris and out of Tinks Little Tassa.
In the two-year-olds, Black Sunrise, by Badboonarising from Liberty Rey, sold for $90,000 to Mount Riddock Pastoral Company of Alice Springs, NT.
The filly was offered by Mt Hercules Pastoral Co of Wallendbeen.
Peelvale Jaycee, was offered by Hugh Miles, Tamworth, and sold for $75,000 to an active buyer at the top end of the sale in Westacre, Spring Creek, Qld.
The filly was by Smith Family Just Jack and out of Oaks Future.
PCD Talkin Bout Chic, by Smooth Talkin Style and out of Two Timin Chic, sold for $55,000 to Kurrajong Pastoral Company, Alpha, Qld.
She was offered by Peter and Carolyne Doonan, Charters Towers, Qld.
Jeremy Sharpe paid $52,500 for Metallic Whirlwind, by Metallic Storm from Spinalena, who was offered by Monique Duddy, Glen Innes.
On Song Performance Horses, Millers Forest, bought Ethereyal, by Dual Rey and out of C Me Matallic, for $47,500 from Glenmore Livestock, Glen Innes.
Geldings reached a top of $60,000 for the Beniah son, Kimlin Just Ben, out of TDT One From Grace.
The four-year-old was offered by Kimlin Performance Horses, Gogango, Qld, and sold to MI McClymont, Hughenden, Qld.
Alchemy, by Desires Blue Trinity and from Mudslide Shorty, was offered by Annabelle Towne, Fitzroy Crossing, WA, and sold for $42,500 to Dunlop Cattle Company, Proston, Qld.
Another $42,500 sale was the Blue Rey son, Bulla Reytallic Toy, out of Metallictoy, who sold to JS Equestrian.
He was offered by Ali Ali, Wallan, Vic.
Merriwa's Georgia Maben bought Edge of Seventeen, by Ducktallic and out of QXH Cutta So Smart, for $42,000.
He was offered by Sophie Barr, Kingaroy, Qld.
Cobb Cattle Company, Clermont, Qld, secured Toomba Q Glamour, by Branchvale Icon and out of Toomba Quire, for $40,000.
He was offered by JL and HE Heading, Charters Towers, Qld.
Also selling for $40,000 was Durkins Bangle, offered by RJ and WM Durkin, Baralaba, Qld.
The gelding, by Allinghams Black Magic and out of Durkins Bracelet, sold to Abbie Bright.
Owen Smith, Aubigny, Qld, sold Morobe Iconic by Hazelwood Conman and out of Lomani Acres Indigo, for $40,000 to Laura MacIntosh.
