Nampara Angus

Nampara Pastoral Company is located in the south east of South Australia in the Limestone Coast region. It is a family run business with a strong commercial focus and it is on these commercial principles that the Angus Stud was formed in 2001. The Angus stud of 300 breeders compliments the Nampara Pastoral Company which runs some 9000 ewes and turns off approximately 1000 head of grass-fed cattle a year, the majority of which are sold as MSA-graded steers/heifers and joined females. We hold an annual bull sale in February as well as having bulls for private selection year round. Nampara bulls are typically a little bigger in frame with plenty of muscle, soft skin and a quiet temperament. We currently hold the record for the top-priced Angus bull sold at auction in SA with our 2017 sale-topper, Nampara Liberty L21, selling for $85,000 to the Ascot and Keringa Angus studs. In addition, we market approximately 600 joined females annually which are sold at the PTIC female sales in Naracoorte, Mortlake and Mount Gambier. These females are joined to our own yearling bulls and regularly perform strongly at these feature female sales. Our debut at the Royal Adelaide Show in 2019 saw us take home the Junior Champion Female award in the Angus Feature Breed year. By Nampara Liberty L21, Nampara Princess P86 went on to be part of the winning All Breeds Junior Interbreed Pair. The annual Naracoorte First-Cross Ewe sale is also a major part of our program with 3500 cross-bred breeders sold annually.
