Gilmandyke Pastoral is based on the beautiful and historic property "Kangaroobie".
At Gilmandyke, we are proud to combine over 50 years of experience with a forward-thinking approach to Australian agriculture. Founded by Belinda Bateman and her late husband Edmund in Triangle Flat, our enterprise has grown steadily over the decades and now spans five major holdings across the Central West of New South Wales
What began as a family operation has evolved into a diverse and innovative business, focused on delivering high-quality Angus seedstock, commercial cattle, cropping, Merino wool, and prime lambs. Throughout this growth, our core values have remained unchanged — integrity, sustainability, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
We are dedicated to producing animals that drive performance and profit both in our own programs and for our clients. Through responsible land stewardship, industry-leading genetics, and a deep understanding of commercial realities, we strive to stay connected to our clients and the evolving demands of the red meat supply chain.
At Gilmandyke, we honour our heritage while shaping a resilient and progressive future for Australian agriculture.
Our farming philosophy is quite simple as we strive to produce sustainable, high quality livestock, protein and fibre across all our farming operations. In doing this we look to optimise efficiency while never compromising quality.
Belinda Bateman and her late husband Edmund started their rural enterprise in Triangle Flat before expanding over the following decades.
Today our operations include seed stock cattle, commercial cattle, cropping, Merino and Prime lamb production.
We understand the importance agriculture plays in the Australian economy. We believe production should push the limits of economic and genetic gain whilst ensuring the lands and environments on which we farm are sustainably managed.
With an agricultural background and formal qualifications in horticulture Belinda has always believed we have a responsibility to care for the land, increasing tree cover, controlling weeds, efficient water uses and improving pastures and carrying capacity.
