Average prices at Lancefield Brahmans Invitation Sale lift by $3851

Buyers from across Queensland and the Northern Territory combined, ensuring a complete clearance of the catalogue at the Lancefield Brahmans Invitation Sale at CQLX, Gracemere on Monday, October 27.

The all grey offering saw bulls top $75,000 to record an average of $15,486 for sale principals Scott and Lizette McCamley, Lancefield S stud, Dululu and Matthew and Janelle McCamley, Lancefield M stud, Dululu and invited vendors, the 2AM and Palmal studs, Dingo and the Theodore-based, Elrose stud operated by the Jefferis family.

When compared to the 2024 result, average values climbed by $3851 across the board.

Market topper at $75,000 was Lancefield S King Gutho 6859/1 catalogued by Scott and Lizette McCamley, Lancefield stud, Dululu.

King Gutho 6859/1 sold to Brad and Kelveen Hancock, Kenilworth stud, Mt Coolon.

The 23-month-old, sired by Lancefield S Nardoo 5899/1 weighed 740 kilograms with fat depth scans of 10 and 7 millimetres respectively for P8 and rib fat, 137 square centimetres for eye muscle area and 4.8pc for intramuscular fat.

Tony and Michelle Hayne, NVS stud, Noonawah, NT outlaid $50,000 for Lancefield M Algorithm 8342M offered by Matt and Janelle McCamley, Lancefield M stud, Dululu.

Bill and Margaret Alison, Broadlands, McKinlay, took the $45,000 Elrose True Blue 24550 sold by the Jefferis family, Elrose stud, Theodore, while the Drew family, Rose Gum, Beaudesert, secured the $45,000 Palmal Walker 2817 offered by David and Julie McCamley, Palmal stud, Dingo.

Andrew and Anna McCamley, 2AM stud, Dingo sold their $42,500 entry, 2AM Affleck 9415 to Roger and Roslyn Nobbs, Garwin stud, Moura.

Volume support came from a wide geographical area. John, Jan and Chris Nelson, Beamesbrook Station, Burketown, took seven for a $7857 average while the same number at an average $14,500 will travel to Sturt Plains Pty Ltd., Sturt Plains Station, Tennant Creek, Northern Territory.
