Highly consistent lineup for the 25th anniversary Gold City Brahman Sale

While the Gold City Brahman Sale has moved off its usual Friday occurrence, buyers can expect the same high level of consistency in the bulls to be offered at this year's sale on Monday, November 3, from 9am at the Dalrymple Saleyards, Charters Towers.
For the 25thGold City sale, 91 bulls have been catalogued by 22 well-regarded vendors across Queensland. On the day, 45 grey bulls will have their time in the ring, followed by 46 red bulls. In all, 60 per cent of the draft is polled.
ABBA general manager Marsha Keily said an excellent selection of polled and horned bulls from returning and first-time Gold City vendors would be offered at this year's sale. Vendors making their debut at Gold City this year include: Brooke Robke, Mirani, Glen and Tanya Oppermann, Binjour, and D A Coleman, Cedar Pocket.
"Gold City has a good offering of bulls from well-renowned studs, offering great value for money that will suit our Gold City buyers," Ms Keily said.
These buyers make the trip to Gold City from a geographic spread covering Cape York, Hughenden, Georgetown, Giru, Collinsville, Proserpine and throughout Central Queensland.
At last year's sale, 86 of 122 bulls were purchased for a 70pc clearance rate and an average of $5593. The top price of $24,000 was paid for Doonside 2869 from the Geddes family, Rockhampton, to the Mortimer family of Token and Cadet Brahmans, Rockhampton.
"The 2024 result was a stronger result than the previous year in a tougher season."
All bulls selected for this year's sale will be penned for inspection from 2pm Sunday.

The 2025 Gold City Brahman Sale catalogue can be viewed online on the Australian Brahman Breeders' Association website.
A freight rebate is available to approved destinations when appropriate transport becomes available. Duty agents will arrange transport, and all buyers claiming this rebate are encouraged to insure their animals for this arrangement. Approved destinations are as follows: north to Mareeba; south to Gympie; and west to Mt Isa, incorporating all major saleyard centres between these points at the discretion of the sale committee.
This year's Gold City vendors and sale organisers extend an invitation to buyers to join them for drinks at the Dalrymple Saleyards from 5pm on November 2.
