Stud buyers from four states snapped up high-quality Speckle Park females in Hillview Speckle Park's herd reduction sale.

The two-day timed online sale, held on October 3 and 4, resulted in a high of $7250 for a cow with calf.

The Branxton, NSW-based stud sold 27 of 48 females for an average of $3991, with another six sold after the sale.

Seven of 10 semen packages offered by stud principals Robert and Leanne Bendeich were sold, topping at $175 per straw for five straws from Johner Stock Farm Unmarked 2D.

The stud offered four embryo packages, selling one package for $600, by Johner Stock Farm Unmarked 2D and from Hillview T S Melanie. Another two embryo packages were sold after the online sale.

The top-priced lot, Hillview Sienna, which had a bull calf by Legacy Pure Country, went to volume buyer Mowbray Speckle Park, Ashford.

Sienna was by Ravenworth Invictus 103C and from Waratah F15 Spanish Angel J167.

"Sienna was an embryo-bred cow and one of the best cows we've bred," Mr Bendeich said.

"And she was a ribbon winner at the 2023 Sydney Royal feature show as a young heifer."
