Top price and stud ram average up on last year's sale as Tattykeel gets underway
The first lot of the day set a lofty benchmark at Tattykeel's 12th Annual Australian White Sale on Wednesday.
ET 240067 Beast sold for $80,000 to Regal Australian Whites, Inverell.
The 137-kilogram April 2024-drop ram was sired by a Platinum son ET 220018, and out of dam 210540.
He was also named the supreme cleanskin at the Australian Sheep & Wool Show in Dubbo.
Regal Australian Whites also secured the full brother, ET 240005, for $34,000.
The second lot, ET 240156 Power, sold for $50,000.
The 133kg ram was by the same sire in ET 220018, and from dam 211135.
He was also named Aussie White champion at the Australian Sheep & Wool Show in Dubbo.
In the breakdown, 23 of 26 stud rams sold for an average of $20,000.
In 2024, 20 of 25 stud rams sold for an average of $18,625, and to a top of $50,000.
