Mingela producers secure top price offering at PB Fenech Brahmans sale

The 20th Anniversary PB Fenech Brahman Sale at Sarina on Friday, August 22, was well supported by prominent studs and northern breeders.

Brahman bulls topped at $40,000 to average $8233 while breeder units topped at $10,000.

Open heifers sold to highs of $16,000 setting a $8083 average while yearling counterparts made to $13,000 on the final day of the two day event.

The 25-month-old, PBF Lee Manso 638/24, an IVF son of PBF Argoon Manso 36/20, took out top price honors.

He was purchased by Mingela producers, Frank and Kim Jodrell, Delaym Station.

The couple's selection will join their sale topping $30,000 acquisition from the previous night's auction in the form of the two-year-old, PBF Lorne Manso 679/24.

Next best today at $37,500 was PBF Sydney Manso 671/24, an IVF bull aged 24-months.

Taking the son of US semen import, JDH Massai Manso 912/7 were repeat buyers, the Randall family, Crinum stud, Tieri.

Another to back up from the previous night's sale action was the Scott family, Yacamunda Investments, Mt Coolon.

Their $30,000 purchase was in the form of the two-year-old, PBF Pacino Manso 660/24.

Sectional honors on the final day for the female section was the 23-month-old, PBF Juju Manso 706/24 making $16,000.

Selecting the daughter of US import, M2 BRC Captain 518/1 was repeat client, Scott Angel, Glengarry stud, Kunwarara.
