PB Fenech kicked off its 20th anniversary celebrations in style, with a successful Sundowner Brahman Sale at Sarina on Thursday night, August 21.

Bulls topped at $30,000 while yearling heifers fetched sums of $28,000 and semen sold for up to $1100 per straw during the evening.

Vendors Paul and Brigid Fenech and family, PBF stud, Sarina saw a complete clearance of their night sale catalogue with cattle and genetic material selling to three mainland states and two overseas destinations.

Market topper at $30,000 was the sale opener, the two-year-old grey bull, PBF Lorne Manso 679/24, an IVF son of JDH Massai Pemba Manso 912/7, who sold to Delaym Pastoral Company, Delaym Station, Mingela.

The top female at $28,000 was the 13-month-old daughter of JDH Massai Pemba Manso 912/7 in PBF Kaley Manso 814/25, selling to DG Ranch Thailand.

Another of the Massai Pemba Manso daughters, PBF Keira Manso 667/24, a 24-month-old IVF product, fetched $27,500 selling to the Scott family, Yacamunda Investments, Rosetta Station, Mount Coolon.

Opening the female section of the offering was the $25,000 PBF Fendi Manso 672/24, an IVF product of JDH Massai Pemba Manso 912/7, aged 24-months going to Lisa McKinlay, Nine Mile, Comet.

Aspirations made to $14,000 for a guaranteed 10 zygotes to average $10,750 ($1075/zygote) while embryo packages averaged $4350 per package and semen packages set a $3406.25 average per parcel.
