Quality and consistency from the first lot to the last is evident in the combined draft selected for this year's Elders AG-Grow Elite Bull Sale, to be held from 10am on Thursday, June 26.

For this year's running of one of the largest multi-breed sales held annually in the Central Highlands, a total of 206 bulls have been catalogued by 40 vendors.

Bulls from 11 breeds will be offered at this year's sale, including 36 Charolais; 66 Simmental; two Fleckvieh; 47 Angus; four SimAngus; one Shorthorn; seven Limousin; 12 Murray Grey; 17 Simbrah; six Brangus; and six Hereford.

Elders Stud Stock agent Anthony Ball said the AG-Grow sale provided producers with an opportunity to buy bulls from a variety of breeds early in the season.

"A lot of the vendors have been selling proven, predominantly Central Highlands-raised bulls through this sale for a number of years," Mr Ball said.

"It's a very good draft all the way through this year. These bulls tick a lot of boxes."

A 24-month-old polled Charolais bull, TCW Livestock The King, from NSW topped last year's sale at $28,000. In all, 81 per cent of the 183 lots offered at the 2024 sale found new homes, for a gross of $1.219 million at an average of $8236 per head.

"There were no extreme highs or lows across the breeds last year. It was a good, sound sale that really underlined the high-quality cattle made available at affordable prices for this sale.

"There were the right sort of bulls for those doing a heavy feeder or grass-fed job, and many good heifer bulls available as well. The variety of breeds and the overall range of genetics on offer were very appealing to buyers."

As an added bonus, the volume buyer of the sale will receive a $250 voucher to Eagleshams Menswear and one litre of Dechra Trisolfen.

The vendor of the top-priced registered bull will receive a $500 Insight Repro voucher and merchandise pack, and one litre of Dechra Trisolfen. The vendor of the top-priced herd bull will receive a $250 voucher to Eagleshams Menswear and a six-litre Yowy bottle.

Those who're unable to make the trip to Emerald for the sale can watch the sale unfold live and make bids via Stocklive.

All lots will be penned at the AG-Grow site from the morning of Wednesday, June 25, for inspection.

The catalogue can be viewed on the Elders, Stocklive and AG-Grow websites.
