The trip down to Kingsthorpe to show at Elders FarmFest was well worth it for the field day's feature breed exhibitors, with the Brahman breed dominating the ring across all categories on Thursday, June 5.

Echoing the breed's success in the bull competition, a Brahman stud making their FarmFest debut won grand champion female in the Brahman Feature Show, with the same cow taking home the Fantastic Female trophy.

Raglan Miss Noella 4189, sired by V8 Noble 458/7 and out of Raglan Miss Danyel 2495, was a standout in competition.

Exhibited by Aimee and Roxanne Olive, Raglan Brahmans, Raglan, she was highly favoured by both the Brahman Feature Show judge Andrew Raff, Raff Angus, King Island, Tasmania, and Fantastic Females judge Scotty Hann, Truro Whiteface, Moree, NSW.

First entering the Brahman Feature Show ring in the female 30 months and older class, Raglan Miss Noella took out senior champion female before going on to win grand champion female.

Judge Andrew Raff said the cow and her heifer calf, which was her second, were a great overall unit.

"We need udder quality, and she's a very sound uddered cow within the class," Mr Raff said.

"She's got a nice teat size and she's doing a good job with the calf, and as a cow calf unit, I put them in first."

Following her big win in the Brahman Feature Show competition, Raglan Miss Noella was straight back in the ring to battle the best of the tropical, British, and European females in show for the Fantastic Female trophy.

Judge Scotty Hann crowned the cow champion tropical senior female and champion tropical female before she ultimately took home the Fantastic Female title.

"I think she is a great example of that breed," Mr Hann said.

"I think this cow, she just has that capacity, volume, softness, and femininity.

"She's got a beautiful udder on her, and she's a very proud cow."

Aimee Olive, who exhibited for the stud alongside her mother, Roxanne, said she was thrilled with the day's results, especially as the family were competing in Bos taurus country.

"We were absolutely not expecting [to do as well as we did]," Ms Olive said.

"We came down to Bos taurus country, and we were not expecting to come out on top against the flat backs.

"It's pretty exciting when that happens.

"We're pretty stoked and pretty impressed."

Raglan Miss Noella was previously crowned grand champion female at Beef last year, and now has two major wins under her belt.

Ms Olive said she planned to retain Raglan Miss Noella and would continue to use her in the stud's breeding herd.
