It's certainly that time of year again with the cooler mornings and autumn stud stock selling season well and truly under way.

Even with the challenging season conditions in the north and the south of the eastern seaboard, sales have still been receiving good support from interstate purchasers.

Some of these sales included Bongongo Angus, Coolac, Tennysonvale Simmentals and Fleckviehs, Illabo as well as the 60th Herefords Australia National show and sale, held in Wodonga last month.

The common trend throughout the sales have been even though the conditions have been challenging for most, producers are still seeing the value in investing in quality genetics to keeping their breeding programs progressing.

Not only that, but the good prices for commercial cattle has given the confidence for those operators to go and spend the money on new bulls given that the future of the beef industry is looking good.
