Dulverton Angus' 100 per cent clearance and record average posted
Volume buyers from Springsure and Surat in Queensland bidding online joined 54 registered buyers to post a record average at the Dulverton Angus on-property sale, Glen Innes.
Selling for the sale top was Dulverton Uptake U186, at $42,000 and bought by Herb Duddy and family, Sara Park Angus, The Downs, Red Range.
In a 100 per cent clearance, 73 bulls averaged $13,986 for a gross of more than $1.02 million.

Tim Grob, Dulverton Angus, spoke on behalf of Greg and Sally Chappell, who could not attend the sale due to medical reasons.
"Despite the uncertainty of the dry conditions down south, this is a massive result with strong support from repeat buyers and a number of new buyers," Mr Grob said.
Mr Duddy said he first saw Uptake at the Dulverton sale bull open day.
"He's the only bull I came for," Mr Duddy said.
The bull will be joined to heifers once it arrives at Sara Park.
"I liked the bull's balance and its long neck."
Sired by Dunoon Recharge R102. and out of an Esslemont Lotto L3 female, the 846-kilogram Uptake was described as having an ideal frame and maturity pattern, good feet and expressive muscle patterns.
His Igenity Beef Profile (IBP) indicates its potential for stayability (a sire that will breed females that will stay within the herd), marbling and a saleable yield improver.
Its estimated breeding value (EBV) for birthweight was +3.8, with 200-day growth of +61, 400-day at +117 and 600-day at +157.
The second top-priced bull, Dulverton Unstop-A-Bull U017 at $30,000, was bought by a newly-established Victorian stud, Alex Scott's Featherstone Angus, Crossover, near Warragul.
Acting for Featherstone was Dick Whale, Independent Breeding and Marketing Service, Wangaratta, Vic.
He said the decision to buy the 820kg bull was driven by its IBP data, with high scores for stayability and even higher scores for eating tenderness and marbling.
Unstop-A-Bull was sired by Dulverton Smart Missile S068 out of a Waitara Princeton P90 female. He measured -0.3 birthweight, +44 200-day growth, +91 400-day, and +118 for 600-day.
Repeat volume buyers were an important part of the sale's success.
John Turvey, manager of Willinga Pastoral Company, Naturi Aggregation, Surat, bought seven bulls to a strong average of $19,428.
His top-priced choice was the $25,000 Dulverton Uptake U076, by Dunoon Recharge R102 out of a Dulverton Mossman M114 female.
He also paid $23,000 for Dulverton Universal U045, by Clunie Range Ridgeback out of a Dulverton Medaglia female.
Stuart and James Speed, Goodliffe Grazing Company, Springsure, Qld, bidding online, paid to $18,000, twice, for 11 bulls averaging $11,818.




Dulverton posts $13,986 average
NSW, Queensland and Victorian demand for Dulverton bulls.
Wilmott Cattle Company was also a volume buyer for its Inverell property, Paradise Creek and Walcha's Woodburn. It paid a top of $16,000 for 11 bulls, averaging $10,636.
Cut off by flooding, the Laurie family's Knowla Livestock, Gloucester, paid $26,000 for Dulverton Uptake U116, sired by Dunnon Recharge R102, out of an Esslemont Lotto L3 female.
The bull's IBP indicates U116 was a heifer-safe sire, plus had major stayability improvement.
It had a BW EBV of +3.6, +61 for 200-day, +112 doe 400-day and +146 for 600-day growth.Its EMA EBV was +6.8, and IMF percentage was +4.1.
Bidding on behalf of Knowla was Jason Strong, former MLA managing director.
Auctioneer, Shad Bailey, said the sale was the debut for the sons of Dunoon Recharge in the Dulverton sale team.
Including the sale topper, at $42,000, 23 sons of Recharge sold for an average of $18, 695.
