Around the Ring: Interstate exhibitor dominates Braford feature show at Mount Perry
The Easter bunny hasn't been yet but one NSW stud still has plenty of chocolates to take home after big wins at the Braford feature show at Mount Perry on Friday, April 18.
The Bennett family of Little Valley Brafords, Casino, NSW secured the supreme exhibit with their senior and grand champion female, Little Valley Barbara-Anne 3512, in a showing of around 55 head.
You didn't have to be a gambler to predict the win with Little Valley presenting the junior and grand champion male, Little Valley Qualifier, that vied for supreme.
Judge Graham Brown, RSVP Droughtmasters, Windera, described both animals as outstanding individuals, which was why he had to find the one with the least faults to split them.
A trim of her feet was the only minor suggestion he could find.
"...but if you had a paddock full of them you'd be happy," he said.
"It was probably a cow like this that bred that bull anyway."
In the lead up to the final title Little Valley also secured the senior champion male with Little Valley Prado while GKA Brafords travelled from Mackay to win calf champion female with Little Valley Barbara-Anne 3738, a full sister to the supreme exhibit.
