Find out who won the August-shorn grand champion broadribbons at Sydney Royal
Poll Merinos made their mark in the August-shorn grand champion judging at this year's Sydney Royal Show on Saturday.
Grand champion August-shorn ram, which included the champions from both Merino and Poll Merino classes, was won by Nerstane Merinos, Woolbrook.
The August-shorn classes followed on from the junior champions and Tom Culley award the day before.

Nerstane 20016 came through the medium Poll Merino classes before being sashed the overall champion under judges Joe Carlon, Queenlee, Salisbury Plains, in the ultrafine ring, Warren Russell, Melrose, Nurrabiel, Vic, in the superfine, Kip Gray, Stockman, Melton Mowbray, Tas, in the fine, David Zouch, Crookwell, the fine/medium and Henry Armstrong, Pemcaw, Dunedoo, in the medium/strong.

Mr Armstrong said it was an excellent lineup, but the champion was a standout for his wool quality.
"He's got excellent structure, very very good bone," he said.
"He stands nice and square but to me it was the whiteness of his wool, the lock structure in his wool.
"He carries that lock structure right through."
