Winrae Dorpers total clearance

Any stud principal's first and foremost goal at a ram or bull sale is to sell all their lots, and that's exactly what Nick and Mel Pagett of Winrae Dorpers, Warialda, achieved on Friday.
Every Dorper or White Dorper ram offered within the sale had a one-way ticket to their new destination with buyers active across Queensland, NSW and Victoria.
The total sale saw all 49 Dorper and White Dorper rams sell to a top of $7400 for an average of $2963.
In the breakdown, 38 Dorper rams averaged $2952 and topped at $6600, while 11 White Dorper rams averaged $3000 for a top of $7400.
Online bidding was robust with 29 lots sold via AuctionsPlus.
Last year marked 25 years of breeding for Winrae Dorpers, with results up from 35 of 46 rams sold, which averaged $2471.
There were 19 registered bidders were in attendance.
On the back of a successful sale two weeks ago for Amarula Dorpers, Gravesend, to which they cleared all 149 rams for an $4476 overall average, the Kirkby family added to their genetics by purchasing the top-priced White Dorper ram from Winrae for $7400.
Winrae 22-0360NOM was one of two rams within the sale that scored a perfect 10 on the visual data assessment app Classimate.
The top-priced Dorper ram, which sold for $6600, went to the return buyer of two years, Mick Hughes, Surat, Qld, which was purchased on behalf by Greg Seiler, Nutrien Walsh Hughes.
Sired by Winrae 22-5258 Black Panther, the twelve-month-old Dorper ram was the other perfect-scored ram from the visual data assessment app.
Mr Hughes completed his sale draft with eleven rams for a $3636 average.
Budda Station Pastoral Company, Budda, purchased eight rams for an $2050 average.
