A bull described to be an overall complete package claimed supreme in the Murray Grey ring at the 2025 Royal Canberra Show.

Jumping Rock Ulysses U2, exhibited by Jumping Rock Murray Greys, Moss Vale, claimed the title under the eye of judge Geordie Elliot, GC Livestock Black Simmentals, Hamilton, Victoria.

The 21-month-old senior and grand champion bull, 820 kilograms, was sired by Monterey Pharoah P224 and out of Glenliam Farm Beroleanne L53.

Jumping Rock's Nikki Vaughan, 25, said she was very excited he came out on top.

"I never thought being a young breeder that I would get up on top," she said.

"There's a lot to like about him.

"I love his muscle pattern, his length, and I feel he's very true to the breed and a good representation of the breed."

Ms Vaughan said he already has a stack of ribbons including grand champion British bred bull at Berry show and grand champion Murray Grey at Crookwell.

"He's a versatile bull that could go into a few different markets and that's what I aim to breed - correct, commercially focused cattle," she said.

Ms Vaughan said she had bred Ulysses U2 herself, in her operation where she currently has seven breeders.

Mr Elliot said it was the bull's overall completeness that got him on top.

"I really do admire him for his overall softness, completeness and carcase," he said.

"He carries himself really well."

Ulysses U2 claimed the supreme ribbon over the senior and grand champion female Bennooka Park Doris S26, exhibited by Stephen Robertson, Bega.

The three-year-old Murray Grey was sired by Bennooka park Longford L20 and out of Saber Doris K8.

Doris S26 claimed grand champion female over the junior champion Beeamma Betina U49 exhibited by Jumping Rock Murray Greys.

The 17-month-old Murray Grey, sired by Carrsview Rafel R9 and out of Beamma Betina R20, was described by Mr Elliot to have a beautiful big base, a deep, soft flank and a nice rounded rump.

"She has the softness to do well in any environment," he said.

The reserve junior champion female was awarded to Ganado Platinum 4th, exhibited by Glanmire Murray Greys, Glanmire.

The 19-month-old was sired by Maefair Rupert R33 and out of Ganado Platinum.

The junior champion bull was awarded to Bennooka Park Vipor V1, exhibited by Stephen Robertson.

The 13-month-old bull, 528kg, was sired by Bennooka Park Longford L20 and out Bennooka Park Connie L5.

Mr Elliot said he was a free moving bull that carried himself well around the ring.

Vipor V1 claimed the junior champion title over the reserve Michaelong Natorious U24, exhibited by Stephen Robertson.

The 17-month-old bull, 660kg, was sired by Bennooka Park Natorious N9 and out of Michaelong Greygown N15.

The reserve senior champion bull was awarded to Bennooka Park Super Star S24, also exhibited by Stephen Robertson.

The three-year-old bull, 1064kg, was sired by Bennooka Park Larriken L14 and out of Bennooka Park Barbara K1.

Mr Elliot said he was a "great example of the breed".

"He's big, long, as much carcase, size and dimension as you want to find in a bull," he said.

In the group classes Mr Robertson had further success taking out the pair of heifers, pair of bulls and breeders group.
