The Anna Villa White Suffolk stud achieved its highest average at its sale held at Weetulta on Friday last week. The average of $1696 was $439 up on the 2025 sale, with a clearance of 98 per cent as 95 of the 97 rams offered were knocked down to a top of $4000. The previous year, 82 of 85 rams sold.

The top-priced ram, offered at lot 18, was a May 2025-drop weighing 119 kilograms. It carried Australian Sheep Breeding Values in the top 10 per cent of the industry for weaning weight at 12.47 and the Terminal Carcase Plus index at 161.4, and in the top 20 per cent for post-weaning weight at 18.29 and post-weaning eye muscle depth at 3.63. It was knocked down to long-time buyers River Park Farming, Wandearah, who have purchased from the stud for about 20 years and also took a second ram at $3400.

The stud has supported the Royal Flying Doctor Service through a charity ram for about a decade and now splits the proceeds with Heart Kids SA. Offered at lot 19, the charity ram carried some of the highest breeding values in the catalogue and was the heaviest at 127.5 kilograms, selling for $2600 to Durrant Pty Ltd, Huddleston.

Smith Partners, Belton, was the major volume buyer with 22 rams at a $1445 average. Elders and Nutrien conducted the sale.
