Urban Angus was established in 2005 by Matt and Aimee Urban and is based in the Hunter Valley, NSW. Today, we maintain a herd of 200 HBR-registered stud cows and host an annual on-property sale.
Over the years, we have steadily built our cow herd by selecting females from proven bloodlines, with a strong focus on fertility and temperament. While we are still considered a relatively young stud, we are proud of the consistency that is now showing through in both our females and the bulls they produce.
Our foundation cattle have been sourced from respected studs including Forres, Knowla, Kenny’s Creek, Wattletop, Millah Murrah and Witherswood. We enjoy investing in new cattle and are always open to seeing what different cow families can contribute to our herd.
We remain committed to continual genetic improvement, utilising both AI and ET to accelerate progress. With a strong culling program, we grow out only a select number of bulls each year—bulls that we are confident to stand behind and proud to put the Urban name to.
We enjoy producing quiet easy doing cattle, and we are always keen to produce a better draft than the year before.
