Lancefield Brahmans

The Brand

Inception

Established in the 1960s by Jeff and Ann McCamley, Lancefield has evolved into a respected Brahman breeding operation comprising of a registered grey and red brahman stud herd alongside a substantial commercial female herd. Today, the family proudly continues the lifelong work and vision of Jeff and Ann, spread over several Central Queensland properties.

Family Operations

Today “Lancefield” is home to Scott and Lizette, together with their family; Ross, Jodie, Hayley and Brody alongside Ben, Caitlin, George and Eleanor, while Matthew and Janelle own and operate “Eulogie”, both outside Dululu, Queensland. Andrew and Anna, David and Julie and their families reside at Dingo, running the 2AM and Palmal Studs respectively. The family have spent many years building their individual herds through careful selection, sound breeding principles, and a dedication to producing quality cattle.

Breeding Values

From the outset, genetic improvement has been a cornerstone of the Lancefield breeding philosophy. Sires are carefully selected for traits that drive productivity and profitability, including growth performance, structural soundness, muscle expression, bone, carcass quality, temperament and fertility. This disciplined breeding approach has helped establish the Lancefield reputation for producing functional, productive cattle suited to the demands of the northern beef industry.

At Lancefield, we believe a consistent and predictable breeding program begins with exceptional females. Our herd of predominately polled grey females are selected for their functionality, femininity, maternal strength and reproductive performance.

Through the careful selection of elite females, combined with proven sires and leading genetics, we continually advance our breeding program and produce cattle with proven performance and strong commercial appeal.
