Hartmor Quarter Horse Stud

HARTMOR QUARTER HORSE STUD specialises in breeding high quality, performance and work horses with a focus on imported breeding and proven bloodlines, good looks, quiet, willing natures and athletic abililty.  We breed our horses for Cutting, Campdrafting and Reining but have also bred horses that have been very successful at Rodeo Events, Roping, Show Jumping, Western Pleasure, Halter and Trail as well as horses that have excelled as all round pleasure mounts for the whole family.
We breed strong Quarter Horses not only for sale but also for our own use and pleasure.  Our horses need to be diverse enough to go from mustering our 76000 acres at Ruined Castle (a fulltime job in itself!) to the cutting pen and campdraft arena on weekends as competition is always calling!

We have one imported Quarter Horse Stallion currently standing at stud – LECTRO LENA SAN (imp) and an enviable group of 23 broodmares, the large majority of which are by imported sires.

Our foals are all handled from birth.  They are taught to lead and tie up, have their feet picked up, to load on a float and are rugged from the outset leading to well handled and easily manageable horses.

OFFERING
Sale horses include weaner foals, halter led unbroken young horses, broken in and started youngsters, older and going horses as well as broodmares.

LOCATION
HARTMOR QUARTER HORSE STUD is based on our ‘home block’ at Goolara Siding, Theodore in Queensland.  It is a 130 acre block 3 kms North of Theodore on the Leichhardt Highway (on the way to Moura).  On the property we also run our working dog stud, cropping under a centre pivot and fattening country for our weaner Brahman cross cattle (from our breeding block at Ruined Castle, Taroom).
