At Gates Performance Genetics, home of the Gates Angus stud, we are a family operation dedicated to breeding functional bulls bred to perform in diverse environments, from the harsh New England winter to hotter, drier summers found in Queensland and western NSW.

Our focus on performance was proven in another successful year, with Gates Angus genetics producing the 2025 Bindaree Feedlot Trial Champions across individual and group weight gain, team marble score, and carcase weight. More importantly, our commercial clients are weaning their heaviest calves yet and topping weaner sales in c/kg.
