About Southern Regional Livestock Exchange
Located in Moss Vale, the Southern Regional Livestock Exchange (SRLX) is owned and operated by Wingecarribee Shire Council. Weekly Prime Sales are conducted every Wednesday, utilising both overhead and ring selling to allow concurrent sales, improve efficiency and reduce sale times.
A previously completed $6.5 million redevelopment has transformed SRLX, delivering significant improvements in safety, operational efficiency and animal welfare. The upgraded facility includes 205 selling pens, 22 bay bull selling pens, modern load and dump ramps, an 8-metre adjustable loading ramp and a six-way drafting area.
Site wide CCTV provides continuous monitoring of livestock from arrival through to departure, supporting both animal welfare and operational management. The investment has supported substantial growth in throughput, with annual yardings increasing from approximately 40,000 head in 2021 to 96,649 head during the 2025–26 financial year.
The SRLX has been an integral part of the Southern Highlands, serving not only as a vital livestock marketing centre but also as a valued meeting place for the local farming community. Whether you’re a long standing vendor or visiting SRLX for the first time, the site’s experienced Stock and Station Agents are available to provide advice and assistance.
