Ouyen Saleyards

OUYEN Livestock Exchange is conveniently located for efficient transport at the crossroads of the Calder and Mallee Highways.

Servicing an expansive area of the three states of South Australia, Victoria and New South Wales.

OLE has been on the current site since 948 but has been in the making since 1910, hence it provides an integral service for the local community and wider region. Ouyen Livestock Exchange is located on council land but is operated by an independent Board of local stakeholders as a not-for-profit organisation. All profits are hence reinvested back into the facility.

Sheep sales are held fortnightly on Thursdays. Facilities include a kiosk, shower, toilet facilities and a state-of-the-art double bay truckwash.

A lively meeting place for locals on sale days. The sales are well supported by a large number of commercial buyers as well as farmers and agents chasing store stock.
