Gympie Saleyards

Gympie Regional Council Saleyards (built in 1971) are situated perfectly to connect buyers and sellers and support the livestock industry at Saleyard Road, Araluen. Driven by the fundamental principles of safety, efficiency and comfort, we’ve grown to support the sale of around 60,000 head per year. Gympie Saleyards are an integral part of the community having decades of experience with our livestock agents, we attract buyers and sellers from all over Australia.

Prime and store cattle sales are held fortnightly on alternate Mondays, (subject to public holidays).

Weaner sales are also held throughout the year.

Female Stud sales are held in March and June.

Please Note: Horse Sales are currently suspended pending the development of a new equine specific standard rules and permit for selling.

We have canteen facilities operating on all sale days and welcome the community to come and catch up with farmers and friends.

Gympie Saleyards also provides:

-Dipping facilities

-Wash down facility (Trucks $2 coin for 10 minutes)

-Weighbridge facilities

-Rail siding to saleyards

-Yardage facilities - for a nominal fee, livestock can also be yarded overnight so they are fit to travel.

-Tick inspections
