Coolabunia Saleyards Overview

Ownership & History: The Coolabunia Saleyards facility is owned and operated by the South Burnett Regional Council and was officially opened in October 1982.

Upgrades & Investment:  The Council continues to invest in the facility through its capital works budget, focusing on safety, animal welfare, and overall appearance. Recent investments include yard upgrades, loading ramp safety enhancements, security fencing, and painting of buildings and amenities.

Operations: A full-time Saleyards Officer operates 5 days a week to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Community Significance: Beyond serving as a trading, buying, selling, and biosecurity venue, the Council highlights the saleyards as a key social hub that brings the local rural community together.
