The Yanko marked 50 years of family ownership with a solid sale at Jerilderie on Thursday, September 24, where all but one of the 120 rams offered sold. Sired by YKO 230023, the ram ranked in the top 5 per cent of the breed for yearling clean fleece weight with an Australian Sheep Breeding Value of +44.33 and for adult clean fleece weight at +40.17. Its Wool Production index of 203.93 was in the top 5 per cent and its Sustainable Merino index of 162.27 in the top 10 per cent.

Two rams made $5250, going to Spring Plains Pastoral, Wanganella, and AF and LJ Naismith, Cowal Park, Goolgowi. Rams were sold into four states. Nutrien conducted the sale.
