Warren Point's 2026 sale shows commercial faith in proven Hereford lines

The top-price bull at the 2026 Warren Point Hereford sale is heading home with a long-time client of the stud, following the conclusion of its on-property sale at Mitchell on Friday, October 9.
The 2026 sale concluded with 44 of 47 bulls offered sold for a 94 per cent clearance, a $6909 average, a $17,000 top, and an overall gross of $303,996.
One lot sold post-sale to bring the clearance to 96pc for a $6889 average.
The clearance improved from last year's sale, where 42 of 65 bulls sold, a 75pc clearance, to average $8047, and top at $17,000, with the 2025 sale grossing $337,974.
This year's top-price bull, Warren Point Veteran V206, sold for $17,000 to Cameron and Sarah Flower, Garrabarra, Roma.
The 22-month-old, 916 kilogram homozygous polled bull recorded 13 millimetres of rump fat, 9mm of rib fat, an eye muscle area of 118 square centimetres, 5.5pc of intramuscular fat, and a scrotal circumference of 37cm.
He was sired by Warren Point Elgin N032, and out of Warren Point Jewel M236.
A long-time buyer of Warren Point bulls, Mr Flower said his purchase would join his 1500-cow Santa/Hereford-cross breeder herd on his 8094 hectare (20,000 acre) property 50km south of Roma.
"He'll go over Santa/Hereford cows, or straight Santa cows," he said. "It's similar country to home, so [the Warren Point bulls] do well."
Mr Flower said Warren Point Veteran V206 stood out to him in particular for his muscle and bone.
Taking home a quarter of the catalogue, bulk buyer Brook Pastoral, Birdsville, purchased 25 bulls for an average of $6000.
Warren Point stud principal Chris Lethbridge said he was happy with the sale result, especially considering current seasonal conditions.
"It's a good result, especially with the current times and it being dry everywhere," he said. "It's always good when you can get rid of them."
Of the top-price bull, Mr Lethbridge said he was a standout right from a calf.
"He's just a really good, long, thick bull," he said.
"The Flowers have good cattle, and they always buy good bulls.
"He's by a bull we bred. His grandfather was a Dalkeith from NSW."
Mr Lethbridge said the sale attracted both new and return clients, with bulls at this year's sale selling to buyers from across Queensland, down into NSW.
