Triple B Brangus bulls sell to two states at on-property sale at Dingo

Registered bulls sold to $20,000 and their purebred Brangus counterparts made to $14,000 at the Triple B Annual Production Sale, outside Dingo on Wednesday, September 30.

Vendors, Lindsay and Fiona Barlow witnessed a 95 per cent clearance at auction for the 72 of 76 bulls that sold for a bottom-line average of $9152. By day's end only one bull remained unsold.

Last year the sale recorded a 90 per cent clearance at auction for the 71 bulls that sold for an average of $10,563.

Sale topper at $20,000 was Triple B Vigilante V265 selling to Mark and Lynda Bauer, Elara stud, Laidley.

At 24 months, Vigilante V265 (Bonox Millionaire 1138) weighed 828 kilograms, delivered P8 and rib fat measurements of 9 and 6 millimetres respectively, an eye muscle area of 126 square centimetres and an intramuscular fat recording of 5.4pc.

At $16,000, Triple B Vanquish V161 was one of three bulls sold at the same figure.

Vanquish V161 sold to Ray Gross, Gromac Pty Ltd, GPB stud, Eton.

Ray Gross took four for an average $11,000. The bull sired by Triple B Platinum P552, aged 24 months, weighed 720kg, delivered P8 and rib fat measurements of 9 and 6mm respectively, an EMA of 135sq cm and an IMF recording of 5.8pc.

At the same figure was a paternal half-brother to the top seller in the form of Triple B Viking V271, selling to Barry Ross, Gladstone.

Viking, aged 24 months and sired by Bonox Millionaire 1138, weighed 764kg , delivered P8 and rib fat measurements of 9 and 6m respectively, an EMA of 127sq cm, and an IMF recording of 5.1pc.

The last at the same figure was Triple B Varsity V210 (Belview Thor T036), selling to Jack Fletcher, Serecold, Rolleston. Serecold ended with a card of nine for an average $10,111.

Varsity V210 at two years of age weighed 760 kilograms, delivered P8 and rib fat measurements of 12 and 8mm respectively, an EMA of 127sq cm, and an IMF recording of 6.1pc

Regular supporters, the MacKenzie family, Arizona, Dingo, purchased a $14,000 son of Bonox Millionaire 1138.

At the same figure, the Geddes family, Couti-Outi stud, Kunwarara, took a commercial entry that could be registered, by Triple B Sonic Boom S194.

Pastoral giant, Palgrove Pastoral Company, Palgrove stud, Bukkulla, NSW, secured the sale opener, Triple B Valentino V201 (AI) (Triple B Networth N284) for $15,000.

Rob and Annie Donoghue, Baradoo, Moura, were also one of the many repeat buyers with seven averaging $8429.

Regulars, Shane and Amanda Watts, Somona Station, Bowen, returned taking 10 for an $8900 average.

Jacob Hoey, Biggenden, claimed four for an average $8250 while the same number went to Degulla Pastoral Company, Alpha, for an $8000 average.

Taking eight head were Bottle Tree Cattle Company, Woonton Vale Station, Bowen, for a $7000 average, while eight were purchased by Ruschel Produce, Leichardt Creek Station, Gumlu for an average $8125.

Taking three each were the Campbell family, Lundsville, Gin Gin, at an average $6667 while another three will take up duties for the Ellem family, Wiluna, Kolonga, for an $8667 average.

Operating online was Gary Brennand, BF Pastoral, Elbow Valley, where he selected a pair for an $11,000 average.

Geoff and Margaret McCartney, Roselea, Baralaba, purchased a pair for a $9000 average.

Jack Geddes, Woongarra, Dingo, bought two for an $8500 average.

Australian Grazing and Pastoral Company, Maryborough Downs, Burrum Heads, picked up a pair of bulls for $6000 each.
