The sale report: who paid top dollar at Gyranda's Santa Gertrudis sale

Classified bulls hit $35,000 while their purebred counterparts made to $20,000 on the way to a $12.067 average at the annual Gyranda Santa Gertrudis sale at Theodore on September 19.

In a catalogue breakdown, 79 classified bulls averaged $12,975 for a 98 per cent clearance of that section while 25 purebred bulls set an average $9200 for a total clearance of that portion of the offering.

Pace setter for the day's proceedings was the $35,000 Gyranda Wizard W124 (P) selling to Trader Wilson, RF Active, Kaiuroo, Dingo.

Next best at $32,500 was Gyranda Washington W444 (P) (25-months) selling to the Hatton family, Diamond H stud, Chinchilla.

The Paterson family, Broad Leaf stud, Rolleston took with them a $30,000 online purchase in the form of Gyranda W482 (P).

Jamally stud, Alkoomie, Taroom operated by Jamie and Ally Becker, secured the $27,500 Gyranda Warrior W140 (P).

At $26,000 Hatton and Co, Rawbelle, Monto took the 23-month-old, Gyranda W592 (P).

Andrew and Kate Chapman, Rowanlea stud, Calliope outlaid $22,000 to secure Gyranda Worcestershire W126 (PP) while John and Judy Tones, Glenelg stud, Jandowae took the $26,000 Gyranda Watchman W338 (PP).

Volume support came from a two-state buyers gallery that included Scott Russell, Consuelo, Rolleston taking 16 head for an average of $6875.

Jenkinson Grazing, Hawkwood, Mundubbera signed off on five for a $13,200 average.

Knudsen Cattle Company, Rosehall, Mundubbera claimed nine lots for a $10,000 average.

The Knights family, Wooddale, Surat took seven for a $14,000 average.

Five went to the Winter family, Kaimanna, Injune for a $12,800 average.

Bingcliff Pty Ltd took with them seven for a $6000 result while Basalt Grazing, Soda Valley Station, Hughenden purchased five for a $14,400 average.

Hutchinson Ag, Glendale, Moura procured a trio for a $14,667 average.
