The Rockhampton Brangus Sale has wrapped up with results well above last year's auction.

At the fall of the hammer, 177 of 198 bulls sold (89pc) to average $17,073 and top at $130,000 twice.

That clearance rate is up 7pc on 2024, while the average is up $3657.

CQLX at Gracemere came alive early on Tuesday, October 14, when Earlwood Critter sold for $125,000 to Voewood Brangus, Calliope.

He was a 24-month-old son of Tannyfoil P79 and Earlwood 3955

That price tag was toppled when the next bull, Earlwood Curran, sold for $130,000 to Bimbadeen Brangus, Eidsvold.

He was a 27-month-old son of Tannyfoil P79 and Earlwood 3759.

It was equalled when Earlwood Tuala, sold for $130,000 to Lunar Brangus, Emerald. He was also a Tannyfoil P79 son.

Just under 200 bulls will go under the hammer at the Rockhampton Brangus Sale at CQLX Gracemere today, October 14.

The female sale yesterday saw a stronger clearance but a softer top, and average price achieved.

In 2024, bulls hit a high of $150,000 with 197 of 240 bulls sold for a clearance rate of 82 per cent, a gross of $2.643 million and an average of $13,416.
