Santahat achieves full clearance with $30,000 top reached three times

Santa Gertrudis bulls and their Angus counterparts hit $30,000 on three occasions at Friday's (September 19) annual Santahat Santa Gertrudis Sale at Rawbelle Station, Monto.
Conducted by the Hatton families, the result saw 45 Santa Gertrudis bulls average $13,377 and 27 Angus bulls set a $12,518 average.
Overall in a full clearance of the offering, 72 head set an average of $13,055.
Last year 40 Santa bulls topped at $85,000 to average $16,575 and 20 Angus bulls topped at $17,000 on two occasions to average $12,650.
The first of the sale toppers at $30,000 was the sale opener and the current reserve junior champion of the Royal Queensland Show, the 22-month, Santahat Venom V537.
Representing the first season sire, the $40,000 Yarrawonga S958, the youngster weighed 896 kilograms and delivered an eye muscle area measurement of 144 square centimetres and rib and rump measurements of 17 and 14mm respectively.
Taking home the bull as their only purchase were regular clients, Southwick Pty Ltd., Hatari, Moura.
The next at the same figure was a paternal half to the sale opener, Santahat V545.
The 21-month-old weighed 804 kilograms and delivered an EMA measurement of 133 sq cm and rib and rump measurements of 10 and 8mm respectively and sold to the Hewitt family, Charvel, Theodore.
Charvel will be the home for two purchased on the day for on average $26,000.
The other was a $22,000, 23-month-old by Dunlop Whoosaa S790.
Top selling Angus at $30,000 was Hatton V54, a 23-month-old son of Texas Remington.
The bull posted a liveweight of 840 kilograms and delivered an EMA measurement of 125 sq cm and rib and rump measurements of 15 and 12mm respectively.
Andrew and Fiona Bassingthwaighte, Yarrawonga Cattle Company, Wallumbilla were the successful purchasers of the bull.
At $26,000 Santahat U434 changed hands selling to the Price family, Redcrest, Moura.
They purchased a pair from both genotypes in the offering for on average $23,000.
Mitch and Anna Servin, Boonarga, Theodore returned for a pair of Santa bulls for on average $14,500.
Ben and Amanda Adams, Dangarfield stud, Taroom picked up two from the Santa offering for on average $19,000 topping at $22,000 for a Glenn Oaks Parachute P133 son aged 23-months.
The Daandine Pastoral Company, Gwambegwine, Taroom took a $22,000 sole entry by the first season sire, Dangarfield Equinox E177 aged 22-months.
Nulambie Grazing, Nulambie, Theodore secured four head, three Angus and a Santa for a $10,000 average while the Centurion Cattle Company, Bauhinia claimed four Santa bulls for on average $8000.
The Hanrahan family, Wycarbah took six Santa bulls for a $6000 average price tag.
TV Pastoral, Glenbar, Theodore also retuned averaging $9500 for their four Santa bulls.
Murray and Loretta Smith, Arm & Dagger Cattle, Kyhber, Augathella returned taking two Santa bulls for a $19,500 average topping at $24,000 for a Drensmaine Huntsman H173 son.
Taking two Angus at on average $16,500 was the Jenkinson family, Hawkwood.
John Howard, Mountain View, Biloela also returned snaring a $21,000 single entry, Santahat V579 (Diamond H Taipan T315).
The Hansen family, Landsend, Eidsvold secured a trio of Angus for an average $8667 while Ross and Heather Milner, Yeppoon returned to take a single Angus entry for $15,000.
The Slater family, Chinchilla purchased a pair of Santa bulls for a $15,000 topping at $16,000 average while Des and Karen Dahl, Brolga Gully, Baralaba took a $20,000 Angus entry.
Blackbrook Holdings, Mt Sunday, Springsure claimed a single Angus entry for $22,000 whilst Fred Spannagle, Ridgeview, Emerald took a $21,000 Angus entry.
