Judge goes 'gaga' for supreme Red Angus exhibit - a Jillangus female

The South East family, the Llewellyns, continued their strong showing of Red Angus by taking out supreme with a female.
Shown by Angus Llewellyn and handled by his partner Lydia Sanders, Willalooka, Jillangus Lady Gaga V035 was out of Jillangus Queen Bee Q2 and sired by Moorwatha The Night S20.
Red Angus judge Jordan Richards, Springwood Station, Broken Hill, described Lady Gaga V035 as a "high-class" animal. It was also junior champion female.
When judging the junior champion Mr Richards said he had two tremendous females to select from.
He said Lady Gaga V035 had beautiful stretch to her.
"She's got the length I'm looking for and is smooth through the shoulders," he said.
The grand champion and junior champion bull came from Angus's dad's Jillangolo stud at Keith and handled by his sister Eliza Llewellyn.

Jillangolo The Night V086 was out of Jillangolo Geneis R89 and sired by Moorwatha The Night S20.
At just over 13 months of age, it weighed 574 kilograms.
Mr Richards said it was a great example of the Red Angus breed.
"It's a very good, well-muscled bull, with plenty of stretch," he said.
Mount Compass breeder Lisa Hosking won senior champion cow with Allira Park Utopia, out of Allira Park Ruby and sired by Red Bryior Kodiak 3A.
