A deep and diverse draft has been assembled for the 66th Droughtmaster National Bull Sale to be held at CQLX Gracemere, on September 16-17, from 9am daily.

In all, 461 bulls have been selected by 80 vendors for this year's sale, which will offer buyers a wide range of top-quality genetics to choose from.

Droughtmaster Australia CEO Simon Gleeson said this year's offering had bulls suitable for all market types and budgets.

"As this is the largest Droughtmaster multivendor sale, the quality and range of genetics on offer available to choose from in the one venue is second-to-none," Mr Gleeson said.

Over the two days of last year's sale, 326 of the 373 bulls offered sold for a clearance of 88 per cent. These bulls averaged $14,595 per head to gross $4,762,000, while a high of $120,000 was reached. Value for money buying was evident through the sale, with 162 bulls selling for $10,000 or less.

Due to the success of The King of the Ring for the 2024 sale, Droughtmaster Australia has expanded on the idea with the Vytelle Queen of the Ring sale, which will be held on Monday, September 15 from 7pm.

"The Queen of the Ring will include an outstanding lineup of 10 females. Many of these lots are first-time female genetic offerings from the studs involved.

"The females will be on-site at CQLX to be viewed for pre-sale inspections. The auction will be held during the Drinks with Droughties meet and greet event on Monday night from 7pm."

The Drinks with Droughties function will start at 5.30pm at CQLX, with all invited to then attend happy hour at the Allenstown Hotel, where Droughtmaster steaks from Nolans Meats will be featured on the menu.

All bulls in the sale will be available for inspection at CQLX from the afternoon of Sunday, September 14.

Those unable to make the trip to Gracemere can bid online through Stocklive.

The catalogue is online on the Droughtmaster Australia website, where links to videos of the individual lots are also available. A hard copy of the catalogue can be requested through the website.

Photos and information will be uploaded daily on the Droughtmaster National Bull Sale Facebook page.
