Full clearance, strong average at Milwillah with two bulls cracking six figures
Milwillah Angus has finished with a strong result at its annual on property sale at Young on September 5, after two early lots cracked six figures.
All up, 128 bulls sold for an average of $18,828 and a top of $180,000. Bannaby Angus, Taralga, secured the top lot, Milwillah Rimfire U445PV, by Milwillah Rimfire R1023PV.
Milwillah stud principal Will Caldwell said it was an interesting sale where there was both good value but also the highs of some of the season's top prices.
"It was a good sale for all involved," he said.
"The bulls looked good, I'm really happy with the bulls we're putting out there.
"The increased embryo work is really paying off in terms of consistency."

The first 20 bulls have gone under the hammer at the 2025 Milwillah Angus Bull Sale.
Of those opening bulls to be offered on Friday at Milwillah Sale Complex, "Clover Hill" Yards Berthong Road, Young, all of them sold to a top price of $180,000.
Milwillah Rimfire U445PV was by Milwillah Rimfire R1023PV and out of Milwillah R520SV.
The bull was purchased by Bannaby Angus, Myrtleville.
The bull had estimated breeding values of +56 200-day weight, +102 400-day weight, +127 600-day weight, +86 carcase weight (CWT), +106 mature cow weight (MCW), +4.3 birth weight (BW), +16 milk, +7.1 eye muscle area (EMA), and +1.2 intramuscular fat (IMF).
