Statewide interest, repeat buyers drive support at Ticoba Simbrah Bull Sale

A wide geographical buyer spread and repeat clientele support for the physical product bolstered support at Friday's Ticoba Simbrah Bull Sale, Mundubbera.

The end result saw 45 of 46 bulls sell setting a $9250 average for a 98 per cent clearance at auction for vendors, Matt Kirk and family, Ticoba stud.

The predominantly red phenotype catalogue featured a trio of black entries at the end of the offering that averaged $12,000.

The market pace setter was the $18,000 red herd bull, Ticoba U26.

The 23-month-old son of Savannah Power Surge P09 boasted a liveweight of 970 kilograms, a 140 square centimetre eye muscle area, rump and rib fat of 10mm and 6mm respectively and an intramuscular fat measurement of 4.3 per cent.

Taking the entry via StockLive was a Gatton based buyer.

They landed two by Power Surge P09 for an average $16,000.

Next best at $17,000 was the black herd bull and Simmental entry, Ticoba U07.

Aged 25 months, he recorded a liveweight of 940 kilograms, a 150 square centimetre eye muscle area, rump and rib fat of 9mm and 7mm and an intramuscular fat measurement of 5.6 per cent.

Securing the bull which was eligible for registration was Charlton Grazing, Alroy Station, Longreach.

Alroy Station will be the home of a pair for on average $11,000.

Ticoba U07 was the first auction progeny of LBRS Genesis G069 to be offered at auction by the prefix.

Volume support came from Seamark Pty Ltd, Brisbane signing off on seven averaging $9000 and topping at $11,000 on two occasions for Glen Robbie, Theodore.

Another to return were Chris and Janice Nelson, Nelson Grazing Pty Ltd., Cowan Downs, Julia Creek selecting five for a $9600 average.

These topped at $13,000a red dehorned herd bull, Ticoba U34.

Ben Titley, Nebaneet Pty Ltd., Earlando, Proserpine acting through StockLive secured four ending in an average of $9250 and topping at $14,000 for a red, polled, 21-month-old by Savannah Noah N017.

Cattle Ju Pty Ltd., Kaiuroo Station, Dingo purchased a pair for on average $11,000.

These topped at $13,000 for a scurred red 21-month-old herd bull.

Marty Barbour, Kenmoor. Hawkwood took an $11,000 selection in the form of a 21-month-old, red polled sired by Hobbs Livestock Royal Red R012 while Alan and Sarah Beddows, Heathwoods, Booubyjan also took a single for the sale.

Their purchase was the $11,000 herd bull son of Settler Nelson N018 aged 23-months.

Hugh and Helen Lavaring, HH Grazing Company, Kyogle, Mungy ended with a trio for a $10,000 average topping at $13,000 for a black, polled, 19-month-old son of Elite Scorcher S109.

David, Jennifer and James Winfield, Hawkwood were another to take three.

These set a $8000 average and topped at $10,000 for a red polled son of Savannah Power Surge P09.
