Clearance, average and top price all up at Forsayth Turnout Bull Sale

The 2025 Forsayth Turnout Bull Sale at Forsayth Showgrounds on Friday, August 1, saw a grey Brahman top the sale.

Lornevale 134, a polled grey Brahman bull, was sold by Lornevale Roseglen Partnership to Barry and Tammy Hughes, North Heads Station, Forsayth, for $13,000.

He was by Rockley Phelps and out of Lornevale 715/8.

He weighed 640kg with 82 per cent semen motility, 81pc semen morphology and a 39cm scrotal.

In the end, 44 of 47 bulls sold for a 94pc clearance with an average of $5800 and a gross of $255,000.

All three key indicators, the top, average and clearance rate, all rose on the 2024 sale when 90pc of the 40 bulls on offer sold to average $5500 and top at $11,000.

This year's volume buyer of the sale was Lornevale Roseglen Partnership, taking home five bulls for an average of $6100.

The sale featured animals from Cremona Brahmans, Moola Brangus, CA Brahmans, Kee-Lee Brahmans, Jenkins Creek, Stockman Creek, Cooinda Santas, Oak Park, Lornevale and BP Brahmans.
