Four studs open for The Land Southern Beef Week 2025 in the Central West

Day three, the halfway mark for The Southern Beef Week for 2025.

The event will head to the Central West to incorporate properties around Dunedoo, Mendooran, Gilandra and Stubbo, before moving on day four to studs between Parkes, Cowra and Orange.

Day five includes the Central Tablelands, while the final day will involve properties located from the Southern Highlands to the Monaro.

Kidman Angus - Gilgandra

Breeding Angus cattle since 1994, Randall Carlow (pictured above) and his family, Kidman Angus, Gilgandra, focus on supplying high-quality bulls to the commercial industry for over 30 years.

The operation prioritises the fundamentals of the Angus breed and integrates performance data suited to their environment.

This year in the Kidman Angus sale, there will be 55 bulls, including a line of yearlings ideal for heifer joinings and a draft of two-year-old sires.

The Beef Week viewing day allows potential purchasers to inspect the upcoming bulls in their home environment and without the stress of buying on the day.

MAK Speckle Park- Stubbo

Mathew and Kylie Buchanan, MAK Speckle Park, Stubbo, will be opening their gates to visitors for the first time as part of The Land Southern Beef Week 2025, showcasing their speckle park genetics, which will be available in their sale this year, on August 18.

The stud sale will feature a lineup of stud and commercial females and pedigree bull calves, selected to meet both commercial and stud breed needs.

This event marks an exciting milestone for MAK Speckle Park as they continue to build a strong reputation in the breed with their commitment to quality and family values.

HY Angus - Dunedoo

HY Angus at Dunedoo aims to breed bulls which are structurally sound, fertility tested and backed by genomic EBVs and maternal data.

Led by Damien Sotter and Alison Kensit, the bulls and select females are bred with purpose, longevity and performance, and built for profit.

HY Angus has a focus on fertility and maternal function, production, structure and docility.

Pibbon Red Angus - Mendooran

Pibbon Red Angus aims to breed moderate, deep, wide-framed cattle using American genetics.

In a grassfed system the Mendooran stud is focused on low birth weights, fertility, docility and longevity.

Their bulls will be offered in the AuctionsPlus Stud and Genetics sale on August 1.
