Jen-Daview female wins supreme at Gympie

The Gympie Show on May 15 to 17 attracted a range of breeds to its stud cattle competition.

Darren Hartwig, Gold Crest Limousins judged the tropical ring and Steph Laycock, High Country Droughtmasters judged the British and European entries.

Ms Laycock also served as overjudge for the young paraders and stud young judges competitions

There were 111 stud entries and 46 led steers.

Roma Show's stud cattle competition on May 9 and 10 attracted 75 head for judges Andrew Postle and Alan Goodland.

Callide Valley Show attracts plenty of led steers

Tania Sainsbury of Tanic Charolais at Monto had 50 head of stud cattle to judge at the Callide Valley Show on May 17. There were 31 led steers and nine led trade heifers for judge Isaac Kent, Ooline Brahmans, Goovigen.

Junior females were picked as the grand champion in all rings at the Crows Nest Show on May 9.

Judges Ben Passmore of Benjarra Limousins and Bec Skene of Meldon Park Simmentals were presented with 29 led steers and 44 stud entries.
