Cow continues winning streak, rises above the rest in Shorthorn ring at Sydney

A Shorthorn cow has continued her winning streak after being sashed the best exhibit at the Sydney Royal Show on Sunday.
AJM Pattie T121, exhibited by the Gavenlock family of Cherrylock Cattle Co, Tallygaroopna, Vic, rose up from the female aged 30 to 36 months class before taking out the senior and grand champion female.
The cow, by AJM Replicate R135 and out of Sprys Buddy's Pattie N20, is no stranger to broadribbon success, after also winning grand champion female at the Canberra Royal.
Judge Ross Thompson, Millah Murrah Angus, Bathurst, said she was a beautiful example of the Shorthorn breed.
"She was moderate-frame size, tremendous depth of flank and spring of rib, very tidy udder and very sound on her feet and legs," he said.
"She's very feminine - a pretty hard cow to change.
"She's doing a great job on her calf and she's only a young cow.
"She got over the top of a beautiful cow - a big, powerful, older cow - they were two wonderful animals."
Reserve senior female went to Roly Park Sadie, exhibited by Roly Park Shorthorns, Lake Boga, Vic.
By Leeds Iamaster Q11 and from Morningtime Roan, she won the over 36 months class.
The junior champion female also went to the Gavenlock stable, with AJM Jeda Express U139 coming from the 18-month class.
Reserve junior female went to PLB Miss Ellie K, exhibited by Penny Lane Breeders of Lockington, Vic.
She won the nine to 12 months class.

In the bulls, Polldale Unstoppabull, exhibited by Macquarie Anglican Grammar School and Polldale Shorthorns, both of Dubbo, claimed the senior champion before going on to win the grand champion sash.
The bull, by Polldale Rooney and from Polldale Loving 187th, came from the 20 to 24-month class and weighed 744 kilograms with nine millimetre rump fat, 6mm rib, and 115 square centimetres eye muscle area.
Mr Thompson praised his balance and said he didn't put a foot wrong.
"He just grew on me the more I saw him," he said.
"Certainly it was a stronger showing of females, I think by a margin, and he just kept coming and doing everything right.
"He was very filled over the top right through to the top of his tail head there - that's where I think he had it over a few of the other bulls."
Reserve senior bull was Roly Park Unbelievable, by CLF Foolin' Around 1401 ET and from Roly Park Roly Poly.
He was exhibited by Roly Park and came through the 24 to 30 month class. He weighed 986kg with 9mm and 5mm over the rump and rib, respectively, with 134sq cm EMA.
Junior bull again went to Roly Park, this time for Roly Park Viper. He was also by Leeds Iamaster, from Roly Park Pepper, and came through the nine to 12 months class.
He weighed 540kg and scanned 10mm and 6mm over the rump and rib, respectively, with 89sq cm EMA.
Reserve junior bull was stablemate Roly Park Up The Ante, by Crooked Post Stockman 4Z and out of Roly Park Miss Rosebud.
He came through the 19 to 20 months class, weighed 814kg, and scanned 9mm rump, 5mm rib, and 120sq cm EMA.
Calrossy Anglican School, Tamworth, won the dam's progeny and pair of females. Roly Park continued to feature in the groups, claiming the sire's progeny, breeder's group, and pair of bulls.
