Top-of-the-line heifers and cows will be offered at the Elite Angus Female Sale to be held at the Australian Equine and Livestock Events Centre as part of the Zoetis AngusEXPO in Tamworth from 1pm on Sunday, May 4.

This one-off sale was established to showcase the genetic excellence of Australian-bred Angus cattle to the world for the Neogen World Angus Forum, which is being held in conjunction with the expo.

In all, 23 studs from across Eastern Australia have selected their finest females for the 23-lot offering.

Elders Stud Stock Dubbo agent Paul Jameson said the catalogue includes several pick of the pen lots, providing prospective buyers with the option to choose from a selection of 41 females in total.

"This will grant bidders access to a much broader range of genetics and pedigrees," Mr Jameson said.

A major goal in conducting the Elite Angus Female Sale was to allow as many breeders as possible to enter a female and at the same time assemble an offering with pedigrees, phenotype, data and presentation worthy of a world-class event.

"The studs involved have gone to the time and expense to select, prepare and commit to offering a female for this sale, so they've ensured they're offering their best.

"The catalogue undoubtedly includes foundation and donor-type females suitable to a wide market in the Angus breed, so we expect interest to be high."

Mr Jameson is confident that buyer interest in the sale will come from all corners of Australia.

"The World Angus Forum has been a widely anticipated event on the Angus calendar and is on the radar of every Angus breeder in the country who'll be set to compete on an elite catalogue of females."

The sale will be live-streamed and interfaced with AuctionsPlus as joint auction partners with Elders.

Prospective purchasers will have the opportunity to inspect the females throughout the Zoetis AngusEXPO, which starts on Saturday, May 3. All females will be onsite to enable physical inspections to take place.

The digital catalogue for the Elite Angus Female Sale is available to view online through the Angus Australia, AuctionsPlus, and Elders Stud Stock websites and via their respective social media channels.

Elders Stud Stock are the auction partners for the Neogen World Angus Forum and Zoetis AngusEXPO, with a number of the company's stud stock specialists to be onsite throughout the entire weekend.

Elders Stud Stock representatives will include Paul Jameson and Scott Cooper, NSW; Michael Glasser and Ross Milne, Victoria; and Michael Smith and Jenni O'Sullivan, Queensland.
