U8J Cattle Co ready to show depth of Australian Angus breeding to the world

The World Angus Forum is an unparalleled opportunity to celebrate and showcase the finest Australian Angus genetics to the world.
Representing Queensland at the heart of this prestigious event, U8J Cattle Co is proud to have a dedicated site at the expo in Tamworth.
U8J Cattle Co principal Warren Salter said the stud's participation at the World Forum is centred around showcasing the exceptional quality of Angus cattle bred in Queensland.
"Through our carefully curated line-up of cattle and our collaboration with other industry leaders, we aim to highlight the depth of Angus genetics and the potential for these cattle to thrive in diverse conditions," Mr Salter said.

Visitors to the site will witness a standout collection of cattle.
"Highlights include two of our feature females with future sires at foot, U8J Lavender T56 sired by Square B True North 8052 with U8J Vaughn V90, a bull calf by Phenix Park Solar S771, and U8J FlindersT80 sired by Milla Murrah Klooney K42 with U8J Vance V47 bull calf by Baldridge Command C036," Mr Salter said.
"We're also showcasing a pen of three bulls from our 2025 sale draft by Landfall Keystone K132 out of Burenda Pedro P53 cows.
"P53 females are selected for their high performing maternal traits, fertility, soundness and longevity.
"Alongside we have four young heifers selected for the Youth Forum Ballot."
Additionally, two heifers - U8J Wattle V6 and U8J Daisy V8 - will be offered in the Feature Expo Female Sale as a pick-of-the-pair offering.

"Rounding out our display we will be three young sires by Texas Iceman R725, bred by Square Mile Angus," Mr Salter said.
"Each animal we are presenting has been handpicked for its high-performing genetics and strong estimated breeding values (EBV) data, showcasing traits such as fertility, calving ease, growth and overall performance.
"Selected for their phenotype, mobility, longevity and adaptability to suit Northern Australian conditions, these cattle are a testament to the exceptional quality of Angus seedstock adapted to and sustainably bred in the north."
Mr Salter encouraged all guests to "come and say g'day" at pens 30, 31 and 32 located in undercover arena two Australian Equine and Livestock Events Centre (AELEC) Tamworth.
"Join our mail out list while visiting the U8J Expo site and go into the draw each day for some great prizes to take home from the expo," he said.
MORE THAN CATTLE
BEYOND the cattle, visitors will experience the warmth of Queensland hospitality, courtesy of U8J Cattle Co.
"To add a uniquely Australian touch, we're proudly sponsoring and highlighting the iconic sport of campdrafting, offering both local and international delegates a glimpse into this beloved Australian tradition," Mr Salter said.
He said the opportunity for Australia to host the World Angus Forum is nothing short of extraordinary.
"With the event only occurring every three years at different locations around the world and Australia last hosting the forum in the nineties, it truly is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for many," Mr Salter said.

"We are incredibly proud that the forum is happening here in our backyard in 2025, allowing us to showcase the superior quality of Australian Angus genetics to both local producers and international visitors."
For U8J Cattle Co, supporting the World Angus Forum is vital for several reasons.
First and foremost, it serves as a platform to shine a global spotlight on the outstanding Angus cattle bred here in Australia, particularly in regions like Queensland, which are often overlooked, according to Mr Salter.
"Additionally, the forum promotes knowledge-sharing, innovation, and collaboration, strengthening the Angus industry both locally and internationally," he said.
"There's so much to be excited about. Personally, I'm looking forward to the chance to showcase Australian select Angus cattle to a global audience and to dispel myths about breeding Angus in Queensland and how Angus perform in the northern region.
"It's also an incredible opportunity to network with fellow producers, learn from their diverse experiences, and share stories.

"Most importantly, I see this as a moment to expand our presence in the Angus seedstock supply chain, both domestically and internationally."
The World Angus Forum promises to be an event of monumental significance for the Australian cattle industry.
"At U8J Cattle Co, we're honoured to be part of this historic occasion and to contribute to the growing reputation of sustainably bred Angus performance genetics on the world stage," Mr Salter said.
