Winning streak continues for young Scots All Saints student
Coming off the back of winning grand champion parader at Northern Hereford Youth Show, Glen Innes, a 16-year-old from Bathurst has claimed the top title again at the 2025 Royal Canberra Show.
Scots All Saints College student Marcus Wythes climbed his way to the top of the 170 students of the competition to be named champion school parader.

Hailing from the 15 to 16-year-old age group earlier in the day, he went up against the champion primary school parader, Melita Davey, St Francis of Assis Primary School Wodonga, champion 12 to 14 year school parader, Hugo Turtle, and the 17 to 18 year champion school parader, Angus Lee, both from The Riverina Anglican College, Wagga Wagga.
Judge Sam Parish, Forbes, said he was splitting hairs when it came to the top four paraders with similarities between them all.
"The young fella up on top, he has had control of his animal all day," Mr Parish said.
"He has used the cane to slow it down to the correct pace to make sure the heifer looked good.
"He makes that animal really stand out, and that can be the difference in a class of cattle as well; you could put her up on top, and when you get up to those top two in a class to have that bit of class of a parader on the leads makes a big difference."

The back-to-back champion said he felt pretty pumped to have been awarded the title.
"I won grand champion parader at the Northern Hereford Youth Show and now this, it's a good way to start off the year," Mr Wythes said.
Originally starting in cattle showing five-and-half years ago through his school's program, he branched out, taking stud heifers to shows of his cousins, Millie Miller, and has gone on from there.
The year 11 student aims to step into a stock and station role after school.
He said the most enjoyable aspect about showing cattle was not only the friendships he made but networking and potential job opportunities for the future.
