Four post-sale lots lifted the tally to 104 of 127, or 82 per cent, for a $3023 average and a $314,400 gross. That compared with 93 of 128 animals sold for a 72 per cent clearance, a $2409 average and a $224,000 gross the previous year. Breaking the result down, 60 of 84 Dorper rams sold for a 71 per cent clearance and a $2546 average, while 40 of 43 White Dorper rams cleared at 93 per cent for a stronger $3880 average. The top vendor, based in Western Australia, runs 1000 stud ewes and follows a routine of using a sire once before selling. Neither White Dorper ewe on offer found a buyer.
