Prospective Rural Property Owner Wins Farmbuy.com Subscriber Prize

Prospective rural property owner Geoff Alden (pictured below) has won farmbuy.com’s recent subscriber competition, picking up a cool $500 RM Williams voucher.

Geoff says he plans to spend the voucher on a pair of new boots and maybe some new pants and a couple of shirts.

Currently travelling through Tamworth – a rural centre in north-east New South Wales best known for the annual Tamworth Country Music Festival, Geoff says he entered the prize draw after landing on the farmbuy.com website in his search for a new property.

A former stock and station agent, Geoff says he liked the way the website presented properties for sale, especially by different regions and property types.

After previously owning larger properties at Walgett and Canowindra in western NSW, he says he’s looking to buy a smaller property that has the capacity to run a few sheep and room to improve its value over the next eight years or so.

Geoff says he’s attracted to the northern NSW area, especially the Manning Valley on the state’s north coast.

With a current registered address of his son’s place in the coastal city of Port Macquarie, there’s one thing Geoff knows for sure – he needs to get out of the city and back on the land!
